These turns can vary in length, from a minute to an hour each.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decades of experience have shown that individuals often gain clearer insights into topics they\u2019ve discussed during these sessions, especially when they\u2019ve been able to express associated emotions. While participants often feel better afterward, the primary goal is to enhance clarity and understanding and behave more effectively<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The script for \u201cOne-on-One Listening Turns\u201d follows a structured process:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Opening<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Both participants share something positive or new in their lives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Deciding Turns<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 They agree on the order and duration of speaking turns.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Speaker\u2019s Turn<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 The speaker begins with minor upsets and moves into deeper topics while the listener remains silent, engaged <\/span>and supportive.<\/li>\n<li><b>Emotional Expression<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 The speaker may express emotions like crying, laughing, or trembling, which are encouraged without interruption. The listener may say something to encourage the expression of the speaker\u2019s emotion.
