NIPS seeks to bring the tools of basic peer support to the broader society and to specific organizations working on specific issues. We do not seek to compete with any of the existing organizations working in the areas of our concern, currently climate change and veterans. The NIPS tools can be used in any organizations or movement: one-on-one listening turns, support groups, topic groups, action groups, listening days. Indeed, our goal is to connect activists in different organizations to eliminate the competition and stereotyping which so often gets in the way of our work.
One of the best ways to introduce the NIPS model to an organization is with a weekend workshop. We are happy to work with you in figuring our a budget and a place for such a workshop. Just contact us at our main office.
