Listening Days on Climate Change, 9/18-23/2011–Tucson, Phoenix, Utica, NY, all set, other places wanted

Listening for a Moving Planet

Tuesday, 9/20 at Presidio Park, in Tucson from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Please steal this idea and use it in your community that week. We will help you do it. For more information, please go to the drop down under Climate. So far, we are doing Listening Days in this week in Phoenix (Sun City), in San Jose, CA, and Utica, NY. Our goal is to get at least 20 communities to take part in this first step in our project.

We will ask members of the public what they think about global warming—and then listen!

We will build interest in “Moving Planet”, a global day of action on climate change on 9/24. On that day, there will be a large loop bike ride at 7 a.m. and then a rally from 9-11a.m, both at Drachman Plaza (Helen and Mountain, S of U of A Med School), for info, please go to www.moving-planet.org/connect2tucson.

The National Institute for Peer Support invites you to join us for the first of many “Listening Days” to help members of the public clarify their thinking about global warming and to identify new climate change activists. For more information or to confirm your participation in this Listening Day, please email Jim Driscoll at JimDriscoll@NIPSPeerSupport.org or 520-250-0509 or go to the website at www.NIPSPeerSupport.org.
